Additional Resources

If you currently fear a PCA may occur there are two main resources available to assist you with prevention, but you must move quickly!

As part of the Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs, the Office of Children’s Issues is one of the first lines of defense in the prevention of international parental child abduction. Be sure to ask about the "Prevent Departure Program."

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® intakes reports about missing children, including children who have been abducted, wrongfully retained or concealed by a parent or other family member - domestically or outside of the U.S. NCMEC also provides technical assistance regarding the prevention of international family abductions.
